Oil Refineries | basic oils - Haifa |
refinery tower |
"Mibac" | sealing the flanges of the rectangular tower 600x1700 with a shape brace, as three of the tower fins are uncovered and one is adjacent to the wall so that there is no access to work |
Oil Refineries | power station | 24" valves | HP steam | because of a problem in the process, water penetrated the steam lines and created very large vibrations which resulted in loosening up and tearing the screws, as well as many leaks. Initial sealing was simultaneously performed by riveting and fastening the screws and later on producing giant clamps and injection |
Oil Refineries | f.c.c | 8" flangs | catalyst | by a clamp |
Oil Refineries | power sation | pumps housing | a 48" pipe from a cast |
a pipe in a concrete pit (in case of a flooding) was cracked. Sealing was performed by a stainless steel brace 2 mm thick, 4000 mm long and 1000 mm wide. The job was done through diving gear up to the stage of installation. |
fruterom | monomer | 2" flange | acid | 2" flange connected to a giant storage tank started leaking and was not noticed. As a result of that, the screws and flange were etched. Sealing through a usual clamp succeeded to last for a very short time after each injection. Therefore we constructed a special box as a cast mold. We injected to the clamp and as soon as there was no leak, we cast an acid resistant epoxy material which hardens in few seconds, and thus we obtained a proper sealing as well as a mechanical reinforcement of the damaged pipe |
nilit | chemistry | flsnges | dayfild | production of penetrating clamps and injection |
carmel olpins |
ethylene | gas turbines, flange and pipe |
ethylene gas | in the gas turbines located in the upper floor of the facility and fastened to the construction in the floating method, there was a crack in the pipe fixed to the flange, close to the turbine's body. The requirement was also to seal the leak and to mechanically fix the pipe so that it will not be disconnected from the turbine. The access was not easy and we worked in snapling hammocks for four days, almost non-stop, with gas masks until we succeeded to seal the leak. |

Israel Aircraft Industries |
utility poles for a high voltage (about 10,000 sqm) |
99.99% zinc | "arc spray", a cold coating, hexagonal poles of a diameter of up to f3,200 and up to 16,000 mm long. Inside and outside automatic coating simultaneously to a thickness of 120- 180m including a surface preparation. Design and production of a facility to roll the poles |
Dead Sea Works |
anodes for the Magnesium plant, about 2200 units |
99.99% tin | "Arc spray", cold coating, manual work, required thickness - about 100 |

Milumor - a plant for oil production |
cooking | frying trays, about 50 leaks |
steam | frying trays made of 2 plates, 500 mm diameter each, between which steam flows. The plates are connected to unknown massive plates through welded pins. Cavities were generated in the welding area and steam began to leak. The tower includes 4 frying trays between which the oil beans are located. Sealing was performed by dishes fixed to the plates' ceilings and to which a special material was injected |
Oil Refineries | F.C.C | 78" manhole |
hot crude oil 300° C |
the clearance between the manholes' flanges and the reactor's tower was a varying clearance in the range of 6-16 mm, so that we were forced to produce a 11 segment clamp of various thickness dimensions and to fix the segments through anchorage bolts of the manhole itself. This job lasted about 6 days |
Oil Refineries | gas storage tanks |
"bonnets" (a cock's flange) with no clearance 2"-6" |
propane gas |
the method was to create cavities between the "bonnet" flanges in order to introduce a sealant |
Electricity Company |
power station M.D. |
a drum steam boiler |
steam 200 |
a leak in an arc of a ø 48 mm. Manufacture of a one piece box with no welding. |
